About Rúben
Rúben is an international partner in the Corporate M&A practice and has 20 years' experience. He focuses on Angolan law in M&A transactions, the structuring of joint ventures, the management of investment projects, financing, commercial contracts and regulatory matters.
Rúben has acted for international groups in multi-jurisdictional projects and transactions, with a particular focus on Africa. He provides day-to-day advice and support in the management of investment projects in Angola across a range of sectors, primarily oil and gas, mining, finance and retail.
He holds an LL.M. in international business law from King's College London and completed postgraduate courses in environmental law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and in corporate law at Católica Lisbon School of Law.
Rúben writes regularly for Angolan newspapers on a variety of subjects and teaches modules on postgraduate courses, including company law and joint ventures.
